About Gigawatt Company
The Gigawatt Company has expanded its engineering services since 2011 with a Ph.D. MBA Mechanical Engineer Mario Sagastume Mena who is one of the co-founders, worked hand in hand with non-traditional geothermal power generation projects from Powertube, a company led by Doyle Brewington that built a technology capable of producing energy from the heat of the earth, this technology based on an Organic Rankine Cycle, that's how we gain the company great experience, knowledge and inspiration to consolidate the company's creation in 2023. Our goal has always been to lead the Guatemalan community toward a technologically advanced future, with baseload quality of energy for each project, and social benefits for surrounding communities, as well as environmental care, we work carefully to stay within needs while offering maximum value to the end consumer of energy and to our customers who are electric power distributors. One of our main goals is to decrease prices for the consumer. Our human talent at the company has accumulated over 30 years of experience working in Hydroelectric Power Plants, Biomass Plants, Mining Industries, Cement Industries, Solar Plants, and other industries, we know the electric market in the region very well, and we are very deep into it.

BMH Technology TYRANNOSAURUS® Waste to energy plant
TYRANNOSAURUS
On January 23rd 1929 captain Rafael Lönnström and his associates established Oy Sytytin. It was a company that manufactured time and contact fuses for the artillery. BMH Technology has come a long way from its origins but we are every bit as proud of our history. Today we work hard to fight the global waste and climate problems by designing and manufacturing sustainable solutions for producing energy. This we do with great enthusiasm as well as pride in Finnish innovativeness and engineering skills.

SUPER CRITICAL TEMPERATURES MOLTEN SALT TO ENERGY
Molten Salts have a history of reliable performance in the energy industry since the 1950s. Elements used in molten salts for thermal applications include but are not limited to: sodium, calcium, potassium, fluoride, lithium, sodium, zinc, magnesium, and boron.
The most widely used varieties are nitrate-based mixtures. Depending on the specific use, the blends are formulated for optimal specific heat capacity, thermal conductivity, melting point, and density. AGP's patents are inclusive of all varieties of molten salts.
-Molten salt is an excellent Heat Transfer Fluid (HTF).
-It is environmentally benign, non-toxic, and non-flammable.
-It lasts over 30 years with little degradation.
- It is 2-4 times as thermally conductive as water.
-It has a low vapor pressure.
-It has a high specific heat capacity, and only loses 1% of its heat per day in a properly insulated tank.
-It is very stable above 400°C and, depending on the species of molten salt, has working temperatures from 65°C – 1000°C.
In case you're wondering, even common table salt (NaCl), when heated enough, becomes a molten salt. However, its very high melting point of around 800ºC precludes it from being an option for geothermal processes where temperatures of less than 400ºC are much more practical.
EARTH HEAT TO ENERGY
Eavor (pronounced “Ever”) is a geothermal technology-based energy company led by a team dedicated to creating a clean, reliable and affordable energy future on a global scale. Eavor’s solution (Eavor-Loop™) represents the world’s first truly scalable form of clean, baseload and dispatchable power. Eavor achieves this by mitigating or eliminating many of the issues that have hindered traditional geothermal solutions.
A MITSUBISHI HEAVY INDUSTRIES COMPANY
Turboden is an Italian firm and a global leader in the design, manufacture and maintenance of Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) systems, highly suitable for distributed generation, that generate electric and thermal power exploiting multiple sources, such as renewables (biomass, geothermal energy, solar energy), traditional fuels and waste heat from industrial processes, waste incinerators, engines or gas turbines. Today Turboden expands its solutions with gas expanders and large heat pumps to contribute to the worldwide efforts to mitigate global warming by creating reliable and clean energy systems.
ORC TECHNOLOGIES
Exergy was founded in 2009 based on an insight from its founder, Claudio Spadacini, who launched the highly efficient Radial Outflow Turbine in the ORC market. This innovation has revolutionized the ORC sector. In a decade, Exergy has built a fleet of ORC systems that now totals nearly 500 MW, including those in operation and under construction.
We have installed of some of the largest ORC turbines ever built, with capacities of up to 20 MW.
Today, Exergy stands as the second leading player in geothermal binary plant installations worldwide.
